Have you ever wonder why sheep always listen to their shepherd?
It’s because they believe the shepherd will lead them right.
The Lord is our shepherd and we are the sheep in His pasture. Keep this in mind. The shepherd has charge of the flock, it is up to you, yes you to follow the shepherd. It is His responsibility to provide the rest. God’s people today don’t know what rest is, I remember few years ago when my mentor led a prayer meeting and he led a prayer I can never forget. “Lord, let me find rest in you” That prayer is deep and powerful, it should be a prayer every believer must pray daily.
Many of us struggle with fear and every disturbing factor comes alive in our hearts. It is devil’s job to destroy
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, that they might have it more abundantly ” John 10:10.
“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God ” Hebrews 4:9
Rest. Peace. You can’t have rest without enjoying peace. The devil strikes your rest by disturbing your peace of mind. When your heart is disturbed, your mind won’t be at peace and you won’t be able to rest! Did you see that?
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus ” Phillipians 4:7
The peace of God, isn’t that beautiful? God’s very own peace flooding and filling our hearts and minds. Our hearts is being disturbed because we haven’t found the peace of God.
Why should I be disturbed? My eyes is on the shepherd. I am only a sheep. It is up to Him(Shepherd) to provide everything I need to lie down in green pastures!
